Mari Nikabadze is an Attorney at Law at Metric Law/Tax and Chief Lawyer at SOCAR Energy Georgia.
Since 2017 she manages SOCAR’s full spectrum of legal affairs, including corporate and commercial law, banking, securities, regulatory compliance and dispute resolution.
She brings extensive sector experience from prior senior roles as Head of Legal at SOCAR Georgia Gas (2009–2017), Chief Lawyer at JSC Intellectbank, Legal Adviser to the Temporary Administration of the National Bank of Georgia, and counsel to the Georgian Wholesale Electricity Market, and has provided legal advisory services to multiple private companies.
Mari Nikabadze holds an LL.M. in Commercial and Corporate Law (University of London), an LL.M. in U.S., International and Transnational Law (IIT Chicago‑Kent College of Law), a Master’s in Public Administration (GIPA), and law and English language degrees. Her professional credentials include Court Mediator, ISO Quality Management System Auditor (SGS UK), Certified Broker and Certified Executor of Securities (National Commission of Securities of Georgia), and admission following the civil law advocates’ exam.
A founding member of the Mediators Association of Georgia, Mari Nikabadze chairs the 3rd Collegium of its Ethics Commission, serves on the Georgian Bar Association Education Council, and chairs its Commercial and Competition Committee. Mari Nikabadze is a regular trainer and participant in legal and regulatory forums and was named Best Lawyer of SOCAR Georgia in 2009 and 2010.
